Dr. Wendy Spangler is a board-certified, fellowship-trained neurosurgeon with more than 20 years of experience specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of spinal disorders. She is dedicated to helping patients restore function, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life through personalized, evidence-based care.
After earning her medical degree from Harvard Medical School, Dr. Spangler completed her neurosurgical residency and advanced spine fellowship at the internationally recognized Barrow Neurological Institute. Her advanced training allows her to provide comprehensive care for both routine and complex spinal conditions while utilizing the latest surgical and nonsurgical treatment options.
Dr. Spangler has extensive expertise in degenerative spine disease, cervical and lumbar disc disorders, spinal stenosis, myelopathy, minimally invasive spine surgery, spinal trauma, and spinal tumors. She believes every patient deserves an individualized treatment plan and takes the time to ensure patients understand their diagnosis, treatment options, and recovery expectations before making important healthcare decisions.
When she is not caring for patients, Dr. Spangler enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, and exploring new places. She values opportunities to recharge in nature and believes maintaining balance outside of medicine enhances the compassionate care she provides to every patient.
