Adam Grooms, MD
Board-certified neurosurgeon specializing in minimally invasive brain and spine surgery with a patient-first approach.
Dr. Adam Grooms is a board-certified neurosurgeon specializing in the surgical treatment of disorders affecting the brain and spine. He has a particular interest in minimally invasive techniques designed to reduce pain, shorten recovery times, and help patients return to their daily lives as quickly and safely as possible.
Dr. Grooms earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine before completing his neurosurgical residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He believes surgery should be considered only after conservative treatment options have been carefully explored and works collaboratively with physical therapists, chiropractors, pain management physicians, and other specialists to develop comprehensive, individualized care plans.
His clinical expertise includes minimally invasive spine surgery, cervical disc replacement, cervical discectomy and fusion, brain tumor treatment, deep brain stimulation (DBS) for movement disorders, trigeminal neuralgia, endoscopic pituitary surgery, hydrocephalus, Chiari malformation, spinal trauma, and general neurosurgery.
Outside the operating room, Dr. Grooms enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children. Together they enjoy hiking, skiing, boating, traveling, and exploring the outdoors—activities that reflect his appreciation for maintaining an active, healthy lifestyle.
